Privacy Policy

My Kind of Smart helps you find study methods that fit how your brain works. To do that, it keeps some information about you. This page explains what we keep, why, and how you can delete it.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
• Your setup answers: things like how long you can focus, when you like to study, and, only if you choose to share them, whether you have ADHD or other learning differences. Those two questions are optional: you can always choose "I'd rather not say."
• What you create: your courses, study sessions and ratings, flashcards, video playlists, parked thoughts, and display settings.

We don't collect your location, contacts, or anything from your other apps.

How we use it

We use your information only to run the site for you: to suggest study methods, save your progress, and show your insights. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing.

Who can see it

Only you. The database is set up so each account can read and change only its own information. The site's owner can technically access the database to keep it running, but we'll only look at your data if you ask us to help with a problem or if the law requires it.

Where it's stored

• Supabase stores your account and study data securely.
• Cloudflare hosts the website.
• Google handles sign-in if you choose "Continue with Google."
• Your device keeps a copy of your progress in your browser, so the site works quickly. If you use the site without an account, your progress is stored only on your device.

The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. Video links open YouTube, which has its own privacy policy.

Age

You need to be at least 13 years old to make an account. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Deleting your information

• To delete your study data, go to More › Settings › Start over › Erase everything.
• To delete your whole account, including your email address, contact us at the address below. We'll delete it within 30 days.
• To change your setup answers, go to Settings › Retake the questions.

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll update the date at the top and let you know on the site.
